Position Overview:

A Zambian-based company is seeking a full time expatriate Senior Fire Technician/Manager to lead the supply and installation of fire suppression systems on both mobile equipment and fixed plant. The successful candidate should be an expatriate professional with recognized certifications, able to ensure compliance with Zambian and International fire safety codes, while also managing the commercial and business development aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise:
• Install, commission, and maintain fire suppression systems across mobile and fixed structures.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification in line with the relevant and appropriate standards.
• Supervise and train local technicians.
• A working knowledge of mining equipment, like Pumps and Pump spares, will be an added advantage.

• Commercial & Business Development:
• Manage project budgets, quotations, and contracts.
• Drive business growth by soliciting new clients and expanding market presence in Zambia.
• Engage directly with end-users, contractors, and regulatory authorities to build strong partnerships.
• Scoping of works.
• Ability to draw/design using software like Autocard, will be an added advantage.
• Represent the company in client meetings, audits, and industry forums.

• Management & Compliance:
• Lead technician teams, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
• Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Acts applicable in Zambia.
• Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and certification records.
• Ensure all installations meet international and regional fire safety codes.
