Our client is in the process of establishing a dedicated Litigation Department and is seeking a dynamic and driven Admitted Attorney to join and grow the division. This role is strictly litigation-focused and presents an exciting opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about court work and eager to play a key role in building a department from the ground upSalary: R30 000 - R35 000 CTC per month, based on experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• 3 - 4 years post-admission experience in civil litigation and debt collection
• Strong court litigation experience (Magistrate’s Court and High Court)
• Experience with divorce proceedings
• Sound knowledge of jurisdiction of courts and sheriffs
• Proficient in Court Online
• Ability to liaise professionally with clients

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, settling, and arguing key pleadings and affidavits
• Managing civil litigation and debt recovery matters from inception to finalisation
• Negotiating favourable settlements and repayment plans where commercially viable
• Providing strategic legal advice to clients
• Liaising with sheriffs, tracing agents, and external counsel where necessary
• Maintaining meticulous physical file management
• Accurate note-taking and recording of billable hours
• Handling client and debtor interactions professionally and effectively
