We are seeking an Oncology Clinical Manager to maintain high standards in the administration of chemotherapy across facilities within the Icon Managed Care (IMC) network through the IMC accreditation programme. This role ensures the accuracy and governance of the IMC medicine formulary, supports oncology treatment plan oversight, and provides clinical guidance to promote compliance with best practice standards.
Roles and Responsibilities: (namely but not limited to)
• Accreditation of chemotherapy facilities, overseeing the development, implementation, auditing, and reporting of IMC accreditation standards across all network practices.
• Medicine formulary management including maintenance, system alignment, quarterly review and publication of the IMC medicine formulary.
• Oncology case management involving review of treatment plans, support of case managers and authorisation clerks.
• Interface and build relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Maintain and update key documentation relating to accreditation, clinical standard improvement, protocols, standard operating procedures and guidelines.
• Support academic forums and coordinate CPD accreditation.
• Lead chemotherapy guideline initiatives and coordinate related congress streams.
Candidate Requirements
• BTech in Oncology Nursing or Diploma in Oncology Nursing Science
• Minimum 10 years’ clinical experience in oncology nursing
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally
• Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong knowledge of oncology protocols and treatment
• Experience in a private oncology setting is a mandatory requirement
