Junior Draughtsman â€“ Northern SuburbsEngineering | Manufacturing | DesignPermanent | On-siteÂ Our client, a leading manufacturer of equipment within the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Junior Draughtsman to join their engineering team. This role focuses on mechanical drafting, sheet metal design, and production-ready drawings using SolidWorks.Â The successful candidate will support the design and manufacturing process by producing accurate technical drawings and assisting with project execution in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed sheet metal drawings and flat patterns for laser cutting and bending
Create and update mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
Assist with bending sequences and production-ready documentation
Produce accurate layout drawings for manufacturing and marketing purposes
Generate detailed machine drawings for production and engineering teams
Update and maintain cutting lists and technical documentation
Support project completion from design through to manufacturing

Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
SolidWorks experience essential
Strong sheet metal drafting experience
Experience with laser cutting drawings and nesting
Understanding of bending processes and manufacturing principles
AutoCAD experience advantageous
Own reliable transport and valid driverâs licence
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
