A leading client  is an administration company that integrates technology, digital business solutions, and data-
driven etc. They are looking for a  Business Analyst and Systems Engineer to join the team in Johannesburg, GP. 

The Business Analyst and Systems Engineer plays a key role in supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated business systems across the company's ecosystem.

This position involves hands-on engagement with Zoho applications, API integrations, Python scripting, and workflow automation to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and scalability across the organisation.

The role is well suited to a recent graduate with a strong interest in technology, automation, and analytical problem-solving, who is eager to gain practical experience in business systems architecture, data management, and process optimisation within a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate global flexibility, with a willingness to adapt to international working hours when required in support of the company's global operations.

Responsibilities

1. Systems Automation and Development

Assist in designing, building, and maintaining custom functions and workflows within Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator, and related apps using Deluge scripting. Support the configuration of workflows, blueprints, and automation logic to streamline business operations. Develop and maintain Python-based scripts for document processing, data extraction, validation, and integration tasks. Assist in the testing, debugging, and documentation of all scripts and automation processes.

2. Integration and Data Operations

Support the integration of Zoho applications with internal systems and third-party platforms using REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth2. Participate in data imports, validation, and synchronization across Zoho, WorkDrive, SharePoint, and analytics environments.

3. Reporting and Analytics

Assist in building interactive dashboards and custom reports in Zoho Analytics and Power BI to support operational visibility and decision-making. Learn to design and utilize Query Tables within Zoho Analytics to combine data from multiple sources, apply filters, and perform advanced calculations. Collaborate with business units to translate reporting needs into meaningful visualizations that reflect KPIs, case progress, and automation efficiency. Contribute to the automation of recurring reports, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of insights to management and stakeholders. Continuously explore Zoho Analytics features to improve reporting accuracy, performance, and analytical depth.

4. Process Improvement & Support

Work with internal business units to understand workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. Document technical logic, workflows, and change requests clearly and accurately. Provide user support on basic system, data, or automation queries. Stay up to date with new Zoho and automation technologies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Well versed in Zoho applications, Deluge scripting, Python, or JavaScript

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON.

• Familiarity with data handling, validation, and automation principles.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Keen interest in learning and applying new technologies to real-world business systems.
