RECEPTIONIST / ADMIN CLERKStrand: My client, a well-established Cape Town–based air-conditioning and ventilation company, is seeking to employ a Receptionist / Admin Clerk (junior entry level) to join their team.
Purpose of the Role:  To provide efficient front desk reception and administrative support to the Repairs and Service Department, ensuring professional client interaction and smooth day-to-day office operations

Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Welcoming and assisting visitors in a professional manner
  • Answering, screening and directing incoming calls via switchboard
  • Placing calls on hold appropriately and managing multiple calls efficiently
  • Providing administrative support to the Repairs and Service Department
  • Capturing data and assisting with general office administration
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies
  • Purchasing refreshments and basic office necessities as required
  • Working on Pastel accounting system
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative duties as required
Criteria
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous experience working on accounting systems, preferably Pastel
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, neat and presentable
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
