General Job Description
The Financial Accountant will manage financial records, prepare accurate financial statements, and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Provide support during Internal and External (Statutory) audits, including preparation of required documentation.
Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Capturing all bank accounts daily
Compile project reconciliations and submit payment requisitions for franchisee projects.
Review major debtor’s reconciliation accounts
Manage the administration of Fixed Assets and Work-in-Progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Support budgeting, forecasting processes and variance analysis.
Management Service Fees (MSF)/Royalties
Calculate monthly MSF and Marketing Fund contributions ensuring 100% accuracy.
Analyse monthly outlet turnovers, MSF and Marketing Fund trends to identify abnormalities, provide explanations and correct.
ESG
Compile and submit data for quarterly ESG report ensuring 100% accuracy.
Ensure supporting documentation is filed for all amounts reported.

Timely and accurate monthly management accounts pack preparation
Comprehensive financial and variance analysis
Oversight and review of balance sheet reconciliations
Cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working-capital optimisation
Costing analysis to support production and profitability
Review and enhancement of internal controls, policies, and procedures
Budgeting preparation and variance tracking
Audit preparation, statutory reporting, and annual financial statement readiness

Candidate Requirements
Requirements:Relevant Accounting Diploma/Degree.
3-5 years total finance experience. Completed articles advantage.
Proven experience in journals, accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, Balance sheet reconciliations etc
Manufacturing sector exposure.
Solid understanding of Balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
Working knowledge of IFRS and sound financial governance
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems Sage 3
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Skills & Attributes:
Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of IFRS principles

Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency
