Electro-Mechanical Engineer: Industrialisation

Randburg, Johannesburg

Qualification and experience required:

BEng. or BSc. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio for schematic creation and documentation.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.
Read and interpret 3D CAD drawings that Mechanical Design engineers use (such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or CATIA).
Understanding of engineering principles, including systems engineering
Project Management skills

Responsibilities:

Industrialisation of new products and product modifications.
Active participation in the product design phase to influence manufacturability, assembly ability, and cost.
Optimally convert the Product Baseline (PBL) into the Manufacturing Baseline (MBL)
Use the Pre-Production phase to evaluate and update the Manufacturing Baseline (MBL)
Ensuring all aspects of Impact Engineering Change Proposals are processed according to: Cost, Phase-out, Implementation, Logistics support, and available stock.
Technical support on assembly processes and component manufacturing processes.
Initiation and execution of Failure Diagnostics and Corrective Actions.
Compiling and submission of technical reports, progress reports, and various administrative functions in accordance with processes and procedures.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams to ensure smooth integration.
Assist with design reviews and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) sessions to ensure robust system design and manufacturability.
Interface with clients to understand requirements, provide technical updates, and support validation activities.
Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality.
