We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Certified Turner Machinist to join our operations team in Saldanha.

A Turner Machinist manufactures, repairs, and modifies precision metal components using conventional lathes, milling machines, and drilling equipment based on technical drawings or samples. They are responsible for setting up machines, selecting cutting tools, ensuring high-quality standards, and performing routine maintenance. Typically requires a trade qualification and 4+ years' experience. 

Core Responsibilities

• Precision Machining: Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines to produce parts with strict tolerances.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, technical specifications, and hydraulic schematics.
• Measurement: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers) to inspect workpieces and ensure quality standards.
• Maintenance & Repair: Maintain, repair, or refurbish machinery and equipment, including pumps, cylinders, and hydraulic power packs.
• Fabrication: Perform general fitting, welding, and fabrication tasks within a workshop environment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, such as using protective gear and maintaining a clean workspace.
