OverviewAn established company in Bloubergstrand is seeking an Export Supply Chain Buyer / Trader to source products for resale, manage export transactions, and coordinate road and airfreight logistics. The role requires strong Excel skills, analytical ability, and experience in multi-currency and cross-border trade. Experience sourcing industrial goods such as spares, lubricants, tools, and steel is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Source products and negotiate pricing with suppliers
Compile client quotations and analyse purchase orders
Place and manage supplier orders, ensuring accuracy and lead-time compliance
Coordinate deliveries, packaging, labelling, and logistics with internal teams and service providers
Manage export documentation and administrative requirements
Maintain clear communication with clients and build strong supplier and client relationships

Minimum Requirements

Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable; assessment required)
Proven sourcing experience in a buy-to-resell environment
Knowledge of import/export, logistics, cross-border trade, and multi-currency transactions
Strong organisational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fluency in English; additional languages (Portuguese, French, Italian) advantageous

Education & Experience

Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or similar preferred
Experience in export trading or supply chain buying advantageous
