- Supervising the planning, preparation and checking of inbound shipments
- Controls & Coordinates inbound activities
- Reports on statistics & analytics to facilitate continuous improvement of warehouse operations
- Reports on slow-moving & obsolete stock
- Facilitates and monitors correct storage of items
- Maintains/improves planograph (lay out) of the warehouse facility
- Checks that warehouse and yard security is maintained and that assets are safeguarded
- Arranges and participates in stock counts (perpetual stock counts and ad hoc counts as required)
- Supervises warehouse operations in multiple stores, such as tool stores, consumable stores and hazardous materials stores
- Monitors bins, layouts and zones by conducting inspections
- Monitors tidiness, cleanliness and order in the warehouse
- Prints parts obsolescence reports at set frequency as per procedure
- Administrates the parts scrapping procedure
- Monitors parts for obsolescence
- Reports obsolete parts to management
- Supervises the planning, preparation and checking of outbound shipments
- Controls & Coordinates outbound activities
- Monitors picking for outbound inventory / parts/components/items
- Monitors "zero" picking
- Supervises the operation of mechanical handling equipment (e.g. fork lifts, etc.)
- Reports on statistics and analytics

Introduction
Komatsu is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join our team at eMalahleni branch. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and optimising the warehouse function, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with our high standards. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, supported by 2 or more years warehouse experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the mining/construction industry.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 6) (Essential)
- Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 7) (Advantage)

- 2 or more years’ experience within a warehouse environment
- 1 year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment

- Computer literate, with solid proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP, including bin history, printing and capturing stock count sheets.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
