Job Responsibilities
* Define the scope and estimations for process initiatives
* Proactively plan process deliverables based on relevant project delivery method
* Work with business stakeholders to prioritise process work
* Design and execute process improvement initiatives, taking responsibility for individual delivery in terms of quality, scope and time.
* Conduct As Is and To Be discovery, analysis and design using relevant analysis techniques
* Proactively engage with business on strategic initiatives which require process improvement
* Professionally consult with senior stakeholders across clusters.
* Ability to build business case to demonstrate business value & calculate ROI for business stakeholders
* Define and analysis value chains (cross functional process mapping) and linking business strategy to process architecture
* Define the process end-to-end view (Operating model)
* Understand process improvement & Enterprise Architecture frameworks
* Understand advanced process measurement (tying value chain processes to corporate performance metrics)
* Ability to design and develop process measurement analytics and collaborate on the construction of the analytics tools
* Ensure successful implementation of processes by evaluating benefit realisation
* In depth understanding of process and workflow streamlining, problem resolution, change management and relevant BPMS tool use

Candidate Requirements
Nedbank is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to partner with business and project teams to improve, optimise, and transform complex business processes. In this role, you will use BPM techniques, Lean methodology, and automation capabilities to drive process excellence, improve performance, and deliver measurable business value. ------------------------------------------ 🔍 What You’ll Do* Lead and deliver process improvement initiatives across multiple business areas.
* Conduct As‑Is and To‑Be analysis, value chain mapping, and operating model design.
* Build business cases, calculate ROI, and influence strategic decision‑making.
* Develop process measurement analytics and evaluate benefit realisation.
* Drive workflow streamlining, change management planning, and stakeholder engagement.
* Use BPM, BPMS and RPA tools to support process automation.
* Ensure modelling standards compliance and collaborate with data architects on dataflows.
* Support transformation by applying Lean, Enterprise Architecture and BPM frameworks. ------------------------------------------ ✔️ What We’re Looking For
* 7–9 years’ experience as a Process Engineer in Financial Services (Insurance advantageous).
* Automation experience is essential.
* Strong knowledge of Lean methodology.
* Advanced Diploma / National First Degree (NQF 7).
* Preferred: Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Degree.
* Beneficial certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, CBPP, Business Analysis.
