Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage all receiving, issuing, and control of stock within the factory environment. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory management, assist with logistics coordination, and support general administrative functions related to stock and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Receiving
Receive all incoming stock, raw materials, and consumables.
Verify quantities and quality against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Capture received stock accurately on the system (e.g., Odoo or ERP system).
Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
Ensure proper labelling and storage of items.
Stock Issuing
Issue stock to production, installers, and relevant departments.
Ensure correct documentation is completed for all stock issued.
Maintain accurate bin locations and stock movement records.
Prevent unauthorized removal of stock.
Inventory Control
Maintain accurate stock levels at all times.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
Generate purchase requisitions when stock reaches reorder levels.
Investigate stock variances and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain a clean, organised, and secure store area.
Stock Takes
Conduct weekly/monthly stock counts.
Assist with full annual stock take.
Reconcile physical stock to system balances.
Prepare stock take reports for management.
Purchase Orders
Generate purchase orders as required.
Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders.
Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods.
Maintain supplier documentation and filing.
Loading & Logistics
Assist with loading of trucks for deliveries.
Ensure correct items and quantities are loaded.
Verify delivery documentation before dispatch.
Assist with general logistics coordination when required.
Administration
Maintain proper filing of GRNs, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
Assist with basic reporting and stock summaries.
Ensure compliance with company procedures.
Perform general administrative duties related to stock control.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Matric).
Previous experience in stock control, stores, or warehouse environment (preferred).
Basic computer literacy (Excel, ERP systems).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physically fit and able to work in a factory environment.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Advantageous
Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management.
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
Forklift licence (advantageous but not required).
