SAMPLER (Grading C2)

 Job specification

• Grade10, Grade11 or Matric certificate, N equivalent qualification (Maths and Science advantageous)
• Recognised Elementary Sampling Certificate or mining-related qualification.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ practical mining sampling experience.
• Sound understanding of sampling techniques and quality assurance.
• Medically fit for underground and surface mining work.
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

 Responsibilities

•  Conduct routine and special mineral sampling underground and on surface according to approved procedures.
• Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including crushing, splitting, drying, and packaging.
• Maintain precise records, sample logs, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site safety standards.
• Identify geological variations and report abnormal conditions.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain sampling tools and equipment.
• Support the Geology and Metallurgical teams with quality control checks.
• Comply with environmental, safety, and operational procedures at all times.
• Manage and maintain the area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed standards and practices
