Our client, a well-established fresh produce exporter, is seeking a Fruit Trader to join their dynamic team based in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on international fruit trading, specifically citrus during season and other fruit out of season, with an emphasis on markets in the Middle East and Far East.

The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and eager to build strong client relationships across international markets. They have a solid understanding of the fresh produce export environment and enjoy the fast pace of trading, negotiation, and market development.

Key responsibilities will include: *Managing relationships with international customers, importers, and retailers *Handling the full sales process: pricing, contract negotiation, orders, documentation, and delivery coordination *Monitoring market trends and identifying new business opportunities *Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery *Ensuring compliance with international trade and phytosanitary regulations *Attending trade shows, industry events, and international client visits *Achieving sales targets and contributing to growth in key markets *Providing sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to management *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A tertiary qualification in BCom International Trade or a related field;
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a logistics role, within the fruit industry;
• Established relationships in the Middel and Far East markets will be highly advantageous;
• Proficiency in MS Office;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Willingness to travel internationally.
