Job Purpose
The Sales Coordinator (with Junior Analyst responsibilities) supports the sales function through efficient order management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination, while also contributing to data analysis and insights that drive commercial decision-making.
This role plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence within the sales environment and enabling data-driven performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Administration & Order Management
- Capture and process sales orders accurately and timeously
- Liaise with internal teams (logistics, finance, warehouse) to ensure order fulfilment
- Monitor order status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls
Sales Reporting & Data Management
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Maintain and update sales trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems (ERP/CRM)
- Reconcile sales data and investigate discrepancies
- Provide ad hoc reporting and data support to the sales team
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Act as a liaison between sales, customers, and internal departments
- Communicate order updates, delays, and resolutions clearly and professionally
- Support account managers with customer requirements and follow-ups
- Coordinate meetings, track actions, and ensure timely completion
- Manage escalations and ensure appropriate resolution
Sales Support & Enablement
- Assist with pricing, quotations, and promotional tracking
- Prepare sales presentations, reports, and supporting documentation
- Track sales performance against targets and highlight variances
- Support onboarding and maintenance of customer accounts
- Provide administrative and operational support to the broader sales team
Junior Analyst (Data & Commercial Support)
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support forecasting and demand planning processes
- Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reporting models
- Work with large datasets using Excel to produce actionable insights
- Provide input into business reviews through data-backed analysis
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify inefficiencies in sales and reporting processes and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems
- Support implementation and adoption of system and process enhancements
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in a sales coordination, sales support, or junior analyst role
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Syspro, SAP, or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
