We are hiring a Junior Bookkeeper to join an accounting firm in JHB North. This opportunity will suit someone who is entry-level and looking for accounting experience.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance or similar
2. Proficient with Excel, Pastel Sage
3. At least 2 years bookkeeping experience in an accounting firm (multiple sets of books)

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Recording financial entries, sales, and purchase invoices.
• Bank & Account Reconciliation: Matching bank statements to internal records and reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Payroll: Processing salaries and wages.
• Taxation: Assisting with VAT reconciliations and returns.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining organized financial documents and updating ledgers.
• Other: Support other senior staff.
