CAD Draughtsman required to assist Mechanical Engineers on detail and component designs on a variety of products in the military, vehicles, and railway industry. Drafting for sheet metal, die casting, and plastic product design. CREO or other 3D drafting skills are a prerequisite. Randburg.

Mechanical Draughtsman

Randburg

CAD design and CAD Draughting required.

Product design for Automotive Military Vehicles, Trackless Mining, Industrial Mining equipment, and Railway Industry Equipment. The products/parts that are designed are manufactured locally and distributed to other parts of the world.

Detail designs are done in SA.

Qualifications and experience required:

CAD drafting Certificate.
Minimum of 3 years of design experience.
Client will consider similar design drawing experience utilising 3D, such as Catia, AutoCAD, Pro E ; Creo or Windchill.
Basic knowledge of Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

CAD Drawing.
Assisting Mechanical Engineers to deliver drawings for production and manufacturing.
Component and assembly drawings for prototyping.
Working closely with Mechanical and Electronic engineers to ensure manufacturability of Products.
