Electrical Engineer SLD (Single-Line Diagram) vacancy in Kempton Park. Key responsibilities include designing, testing, running simulations, writing specifications, and supporting the production of power conversion equipment (DC-AC and AC-AC) and power conversion solutions. In-depth knowledge of solar, industrial PCS, grid code compliance, site reticulation, and microgrid is required. A BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering is required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering.
2â5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering (preferably LV/MV systems).
Experience with solar PV, commercial inverters, microgrids, and grid code compliance in both LV and MV situations.

Technical Skills:Â

Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
CAD software for schematic design
Understand protection equipment
Reticulation design and familiarity with power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs).

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:Â Conceptualize and design power electronics circuits, including inverter topologies, magnetic components, SLDâs for products.
Testing & Validation:Â Write and perform hands-on testing of prototypes. Understanding of inverter safety standards is a plus.
Production Support:Â Optimize manufacturing processes following quality standards (e.g., ISO9001).
Component Evaluation:Â Evaluate and select components for efficiency, cost-saving, and obsolescence management.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain schematics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical reports.Â
