Location: Kempton ParkType: Full-time, On-siteSalary: R25,000 – R35,000 CTCReports to: Owner / ManagementRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on Bookkeeper to take full ownership of the company’s financial records and day-to-day bookkeeping function. This role supports the owner directly and plays a critical part in keeping the business financially healthy, compliant, and well-organised.This role is based at the company’s Kempton Park offices and will work closely with management and external accountants.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full bookkeeping function, including:

Monthly Financials

Prepare monthly management accounts
Balance sheets and income statements
Profit & loss reporting

Banking & Cashflow

Bank reconciliations
Cashflow management
Tracking and reporting on the company's financial position

Creditors & Debtors

Full creditors control
Debtors management and follow-ups
Customer statements and collections

Invoicing & Billing

Prepare and issue customer invoices
Export billing
Ensure accurate and timely billing

Statutory & Compliance

SARS submissions
PAYE, VAT, UIF, etc.
Liaising with external accountants if required

Stock & Costing

Ground and stock costings
Track margins and job profitability

Systems

Operate and maintain the Pastel accounting system
Ensure financial records are accurate and audit-ready

Requirements

Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar role
Strong working knowledge of Pastel Accounting
Solid understanding of:

Financial packs
Cashflow
VAT & SARS submissions
Debtors and creditors

Comfortable working in a small to medium business environment
Highly organised, accurate, and detail-driven
