Additional to the below inland sales consultant requirements the incumbent will be required to re-activate dormant customers, and establish the company's brand in the industry through direct sales, resellers, distributors & tender opportunities.
Responsibilities:
As the inland sales consultant, you will play a key role in driving revenue and building client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Building, developing, and managing a client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
Generating leads, conducting outreach, and engaging potential customers through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to present tailored solutions.
Manage all aspects of the tendering process, including seeking new tenders, evaluation of specifications & conditions, coordination with internal resources, compiling of bids, timely submission of proposals and conduct “lessons learned” reviews after each tender.
Presenting the Company's products or services to clients and clearly articulating their value to close sales and secure long-term contracts.
Collaborating closely with internal departments, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing and Customer Support, to ensure client satisfaction and seamless integration of client feedback.
Keeping accurate and detailed records of sales activities, pipelines, and performance metrics in our CRM system (Salesfore, Sharepoint, SAP etc.), ensuring up-to-date and accessible information.
Staying informed on industry trends, product updates, and competitor activities to effectively position our Company in the market and maintain a competitive edge.

Candidate Requirements
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:Must-have:
A minimum of a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent is required.
A proven track record of 3-5 years’ experience as an external sales consultant in the clean & wastewater pump industry servicing the mining, industrial, energy & agriculture sectors.
Ability to read, understand and apply pump curves to offer tailored solutions.
Assess customers pump requirements and provide tailored solutions from the company's products and services.
Financial acumen, including cost estimation and budget management.
Good written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.
Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repetitive business.
Proficiency in using CRM software to manage client information, track leads, and monitor sales performance and MS Office software to do daily tasks.
Strong self-motivation with result and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills to function effectively in all facets of working environment
Adaptability to adjust sales tactics based on client feedback and evolving market demands.
Senior Sales experience with international multi-national pump companies
Knowledge of the tender lifecycle and procurement processes
Able to read technical drawings, and strong technical pump knowledge
Other Requirements:
Must be in possession of own reliable transport.
Valid S.A. driver’s licence.
Willing and able to travel.
Nice-to-have:
A certificate or national diploma in sales, marketing, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Sales presentations skills and product demonstrations to potential customers
Familiarity with industry-specific sales practices.

Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas/budget, demonstrating the ability to drive consistent revenue growth.
Responsible and competent to compile own quotations and costing for complex applications with supporting documentation.
