We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic in Grabouw. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel-powered trucks and forklifts. You must be able to work shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a relevant trade certification.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a focus on trucks and forklifts.
3. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
5. Able and willing to work shifts

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on diesel trucks and forklifts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine components, including fuel systems, transmissions, gearboxes, and differentials.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Inspect, test, and repair braking systems, steering mechanisms, and suspension components.
• Perform diagnostic testing using computerised diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test and inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
