ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Specialist is a head-office (remote-first) specialist who enables waste-free, compliant and reliable maintenance across our integrated practice units by designing and continuously improving maintenance policies, processes and automated systems (including our CMMS), auditing outcomes, and building capability in site teams and service providers nationwide.
Reporting to the Business Process Manager, you will:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Nurture’s maintenance policies, processes, and automated systems.
- Own and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and related maintenance data.
- Plan and govern risk-based, preventative maintenance within a hybrid outsourced delivery model (internal coordination with specialist service providers).
- Audit maintenance activities and outcomes across sites, and translate insights into practical improvements.
- Select maintenance vendors, define SLA scope, and support procurement decisions.
- Serve as the custodian of Nurture–SAAMA relations, supporting professional alignment and continued development.
- Delineate maintenance responsibility from leases to ensure clear accountability and follow-through.
GUARANTEED MONTHLY REMUNERATION: R 52 902.50 CTC (benefits included)

Education, Experience, and Functional Learnings
- NQF-Level-7 Qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Assets Management.
- Proven experience in successfully managing a risk-based, preventative maintenance system (as well as a computerised maintenance management system) within a hybrid outsourced maintenance delivery model (internal coordination with specialist service providers).
- Possess CPAM-level knowledge as set out in the Asset Management Professional Designations Framework including its application within the South African healthcare context.
