Our client, an established clearing and forwarding company based in Paarl (specialising in the agricultural, wine, and perishable goods sector), is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team.

The Ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, working closely with operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Creditors and debtors processing, including accurate capturing, allocation, and ongoing maintenance of accounts *Invoicing, reconciliations, and age analysis, ensuring timely billing, balanced accounts, and effective monitoring of outstanding balances *Liaising with operations on shipment files, resolving discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy across shipments *Managing account queries, collections, and credit applications, with a focus on customer service and risk control *Working on Sage and Xero, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance;
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role (Logistics / Clearing and Forwarding experience will be advantageous);
• Experience with Sage and/or Xero;
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail;
• Own reliable transport.
