Our client situated in the Greyton area, has the above-mentioned opportunity available for an experienced Viticulturist.

This exciting career opportunity is ideal for an energetic individual, with a high level of enthusiasm, paired with a passion for wine and vineyard management, including a specific interest in the development of a vineyard and possibly a winery (in perspective 50ha) from start to finish.

The perfect candidate is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English). Imperative to this role is the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders ranging from Farmers, Production Managers, Winemakers and Marketing experts.

Duties include: *Full site evaluation, preparation and implementation (soil types, climate, elevation, slope, aspect etc.) *Reviewing of potential varieties *Effective planning of vineyard management *Management of staff and irrigation *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Viticulture and Oenology will be advantageous;
• 5 years' experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of relevant quality control systems;
• Excellent numerical skills;
• Strong computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS and/or any other relevant wine industry software);
• Specific interest to establish new vineyards.
