Habata, one of SA’s leading producers of fresh fruit and vegetables, has a position available for a Financial Manager/Senior Accountant to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a systematic and analytical approach to work, strong financial acumen, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

This role will primarily be based at the Kirkwoord-office, with occasional travel to the office in Addo.

The incumbent will report to the Financial Director and be responsible for: *Monthly management reporting *Cost analysis & reporting *Assisting with budgeting & cashflow *Verification, reconciliation and payment of creditors *Management of debtors *Processing transactions and journals *Upkeep of the asset register *Insurance administration *Audit preparation *Supporting the production, packhouse and quality departments with financial record keeping and implementation of new systems (Xero, FarmTrace) *Management of relevant financial and administrative staff *all other functions related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting & completed articles (SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA);

• Approximately 1-2 years’ relevant post-article experience;

• Experience in the agricultural industry advantageous;

• Strong computer literacy, specifically advanced Excel skills (Xero advantageous);

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);

• Own reliable transport & a valid driver’s license.
