Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Technical Inspection and Repairs
• Inspect returned products and perform technical fault diagnosis
• Repair products where possible and determine root cause of failure
• Evaluate product failures and provide detailed technical reports
• Assist with technical evaluation of new products and NRCS compliance requirements
• Support NRCS certification testing processes
Field Support, Site Inspection and Technical Reporting
• Attend installation sites where Spazio products are installed, when required
• Inspect installed lighting fittings, drivers, wiring, and associated components
• Identify and diagnose installation faults, product faults, electrical supply issues, or external causes
• Assess installation quality and compliance with product specifications and electrical standards
• Identify incorrect installation practices that may affect product performance or safety
• Take photographic evidence and maintain accurate records during site inspections
• Prepare clear, accurate, and professional technical reports outlining findings, root cause, and recommendations
• Provide technical reports to management and clients to support technical decisions and warranty evaluations
• Complete all call out reports accurately and maintain detailed records
• Represent Spazio Lighting professionally when interacting with clients, contractors, consultants, and electricians onsite
• Support the technical team with technical reports and customer assistance
Return and Inventory Management
• Manage and control returned stock inventory accurately
• Ensure proper logging, tracking, and processing of returns
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, failures, and returned products
• Maintain and improve returns and repair processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Operational and Administrative Duties
• Ensure efficient daily operations within the Repairs and Returns function
• Liaise effectively with Procurement, Warehouse, Technical, and Sales departments
• Respond to customer queries and attend technical meetings when required
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports as required by management
• Adhere to company procedures, service level agreements, and compliance requirements
• Perform additional duties, projects, and responsibilities as required by management

- Communication Skills: 1 to 2 years
- Technical Depth: 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Legal Requirements
• South African citizen with valid South African ID, residing in Johannesburg
• Matric certificate, tertiary technical qualification advantageous
• Valid South African driver’s license and reliable transport
• Willing and able to travel to installation sites when required
Experience and Technical Requirements
• Minimum 3 years relevant technical experience, preferably in lighting or electrical products
• Strong electrical and electronic fault finding skills, compulsory
• Working knowledge of technical repairs and diagnostics
• Understanding of returns management and inventory control processes
• Ability to inspect lighting installations and identify installation faults and non-compliant electrical practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and installation requirements
• Experience with NRCS compliance processes advantageous
• Computer literate, proficiency in Excel required
• SYSPRO experience highly advantageous
