REPORTING TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONALS
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the company’s regional strategy and operations in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Peru, driving performance, growth, and customer value while ensuring alignment with global priorities. The role strengthens local leadership, expands manufacturing and production capacity, improves cost competitiveness and quality, and supports future market and product development in key product lines in collaboration with the company’s International Product Management structures.
JOB FUNCTION:
Strategy Implementation:
Lead operational activities across the Americas region, supporting General Managers in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, and Peru
Translate global strategy into regional operational plans, and performance indicators
Collaboration with the senior leadership team to develop and execute strategies to expand market share globally
Proactive assessment of future business needs
Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation and excellence within the product line
Develop long-term capacity plans for manufacturing, fabrication, and service operations.
Marketing:
Attendance and participation at exhibitions and events in order to increase company’s recognition
Ongoing liaison with Sales to improve market growth
People management:
Support for performance management
Delegate appropriate authority levels to key managers
Plan, select, develop and maintain manpower capabilities for the function as required
Client Retention:
Relationships and networks with key stakeholders and influencers are established and maintained
Project manage all orders as required
Continuous Improvement:
Determine areas for improvement between product supply and customer need and develop a strategy to eliminate obstacles
Identify shortfalls and improvement opportunities within the sales/product line interactions
Product development in collaboration with Technical Manager and Technology department
Financial management:
Develop and implement funding proposals in line with strategic vision, assess and submit budgetary requests, assess budget reconciliations and analyse financials for the business on a monthly basis, investigate and probe any variances, approve discretionary additional funding where appropriate, compile legal and management reports timeously

Candidate Requirements
QUALIFICATION:Tertiary qualification in a related Engineering field Business Management/Leadership qualification
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 10 years’ operational experience with extensive international mineral processing experience.
At least 10 years leadership experience managing multi-country operations in the Americas.
A proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering operational performance.
Note: Extensive travel is required for this position. Strong problem solving, decision making, communication, negotiation, influencing and leadership skills Willing to travel extensively Strong networks in the mining and minerals processing industry
