Candidate Requirements

Day-to-Day operation and maintenance management and support of water treatment facilities, will include (but is not limited to):

•Operational support to on-site plant operator(s) where such an operator is appointed;

•Plant operation monitoring and control;

•Plant operation optimization;

•Dosing chemical procurement/ordering;

•Dosing chemical make-up;

•Instrument calibration;

•Occupational Health and Safety including HAZOP studies;

•Perform and facilitate maintenance, repair and/or upgrade work to be performed by BBEnergy staff or sub-contractors;

•Project work (ad hoc);

•Daily supervision of site operators;

•General Housekeeping.

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate competence in the following e activities:

•Process plant operational management experience;

•Maintenance Planning and Implementation;

•Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Experience;

•Occupational Health and Safety Management Experience;

•Commissioning and operation of equipment.

•Project management and administration.

It will be expected from the successful candidate to:

•Promote the BBEnergy values and demonstrate high standards of ethical behaviour.

•Communicate with clients, manage expectations and build strong client relationships and rapport;

•Have a high level of computer literacy;

•Willingness to travel to sites within South Africa and occasionally abroad;

Minimum requirements are:

•Qualified Millwright. Proof of qualification and institution where qualification was obtained is essential;

•Primary business written and spoken language will be English;

•Valid driver’s license (Code B) and valid passport;

•Medically fit to work on site, work at heights.

You will be reporting to BBEnergy’s appointed Business Unit Manager and Project Manager as well as the Client’s Representative.

Additional preferred requirements are:

•3-5 years’ experience in a water treatment plant environment will be beneficial.

•Experience in water treatment facility commissioning and operation will be beneficial.

•Knowledge of water treatment processes and techniques.

•Experience with industrial construction sites’ requirements and regulations.

•Thorough understanding of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

•Single and Three-phase electrical installation experience will be advantageous.

•People and business management expertise.

•Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
