We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Hardware Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining high standards within the store.
Key Responsibilities:

Report on sales performance and hardware sales metrics, and suggest improvements

Ensure compliance with all sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures

Greet customers entering the store and assess their hardware and DIY needs

Assist customers in selecting appropriate hardware, tools, and building materials

Operate the cash register / point of sale system accurately

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and practical sales service

Maintain excellent store conditions, including shelves, aisles, and display areas

Ensure correct visual merchandising of hardware products and promotional items

Assist with stock control by maintaining a fully stocked sales floor

Offload, receive, and pack away stock safely

Merchandize stock according to hardware retail standards
