The Developer role exists to design, develop, and enhance business applications, ERP systems, and Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimisation across the organisation. This role combines technical expertise in application development with deep knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft 365 platforms, supporting operational efficiency, process automation, and business transformation initiatives. 

1. Application Development 

o Develop, test, and maintain business applications using X++ and C#. 

o Build APIs and integrations between internal systems and external services. 

2. ERP Development & Customization 

o Customise, configure, and extend Microsoft Dynamics AX to meet business needs. 

o Ensure ERP solutions are optimised for performance, scalability, and compliance. 

3. Microsoft 365 Development & Integration 

o Create and maintain workflows, apps, and automation using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). 

o Provide support for Microsoft 365-related technical challenges and enhancements. 

4. Testing & Quality Assurance 

o Perform unit, integration, and system testing on all developed solutions. 

o Troubleshoot and resolve performance or security issues promptly. 

5. Technical Documentation 

o Maintain accurate documentation of code, processes, and integration flows. 

o Update system architecture diagrams and design documents as needed. 

6. Collaboration & Support 

o Work closely with Business Analysts, IT teams, and end-users to understand requirements. 

o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members when necessary. 

7. Continuous Learning 

o Stay current with emerging technologies in ERP development and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. 

o Pursue relevant certifications in Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms (Azure).
