A well-established injection moulding company in Westmead, Pinetown is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance (Primary Focus):

• Perform hands-on electrical maintenance on injection moulding machines, control panels, and plant equipment

• Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems

• Ensure all electrical installations and machinery comply with legal requirements

• Maintain electrical safety systems, inspections, and statutory records

Mechanical Maintenance (Secondary Focus):

• Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery as required

• Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime

Legal & Compliance:

• Act as the company’s GMR 2.1 Appointed Person

• Ensure compliance with OHS Act, Machinery Regulations, and electrical standards

• Maintain statutory registers, inspection records, and compliance documentation

Operational Support:

• Support production teams to improve machine efficiency and reliability

• Assist with risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks

• Provide hands-on technical guidance to maintenance staff and contractors
