Our client, a leading company in the cold storage sector, is urgently seeking a  Refrigeration Assistant with CAT A Certification to join their team in City Deep, Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a keen interest in refrigeration systems, with the ability to support senior technicians in ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with breakdowns and repair activities
• Support in maintaining the ammonia plant (oil changes, leak checks, and monitoring controls on the maintenance system)
• Assist with checking valves for suction, liquid, and hot gas lines
• Assist in the installation and servicing of compressors, condensers, and evaporators
• Support in replacing couplings and bearing drives
• Conduct general maintenance such as gluing PVC pipes, cleaning filters, and washing coils
• Assist with pressure testing and related maintenance checks
