Employer: West Coast Personnel

Job Description: My client is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Accountant who is confident managing the full accounting function end-to-end across multiple entities. They are comfortable owning deadlines, navigating complexity, and keeping the books clean under pressure. They have solid experience with month-end and year-end close, strong general ledger control, and are fully competent across AP, AR, cashbook, VAT, and audit preparation. Exposure to foreign exchange contracts and import/export payments is essential, as is the ability to manage cash flow and liaise effectively with banks and external stakeholders.

Full financial accounting for multiple entities
Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
General ledger journals, reconciliations and reporting
Accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashbook management
VAT returns and audit support
Foreign exchange contracts (FECs) and import/export payments
Cash flow management and banking liaison
Staff supervision and process improvement initiatives

Degree in Financial or Management Accounting
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience managing staff
ERP system experience (Syspro preferred)
Strong attention to detail, deadline driven, and able to work under pressure
