Manage staff, payroll, compliance, and sensitive HR matters.
This role requires a confident, accountable and legally astute HR professional who takes full ownership of their work and can manage complex employee relations matters independently and professionally.
The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, particularly the BCEA, and be comfortable engaging with employees, management and legal advisors with authority and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Full HR and labour law compliance across multiple companies
Independent management and representation in CCMA and labour matters, working alongside appointed HR attorneys and labour law specialists
Handling and preparing disciplinary cases, hearings, disputes, evidence packs and legal correspondence
Drafting, implementing and maintaining employment contracts, policies, procedures and HR frameworks
Managing grievances, misconduct, incapacity, retrenchments and performance management
Advising management on labour law risks and compliance obligations

Candidate Requirements
Required ProfileThis position requires someone who is:
Senior and accountable, taking full ownership of their work
Highly confident in HR and labour law, able to communicate clearly and firmly with employees
Exceptionally detail-oriented and process-driven
Able to multitask across multiple payrolls and HR functions
Comfortable dealing with senior management, legal advisors, unions and external stakeholders
Physically present in the office and actively engaged with staff and management
Independent, proactive and not reliant on constant supervision
Ethical, professional and legally precise
