Primary purpose of the job:

To receive, check, store, and issue goods to the relevant departments.

Key Performance Areas:

Receive & unpack incoming goods.

Check the quantity and quality of delivered goods.

Store received goods in allocated shelves.

Issue the goods.

Place orders of low stock items on SAP.

Ensure correct filing & documentation control.

Ensure the availability of petrol and diesel for all plants.

Supervise and operate the store.

Do weekly cycle count.

Participate actively in the departmental meetings as per company requirement.

Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHE procedures and Work Instructions.

Knowledge required:

Understanding of purchasing function in an automotive environment.

Knowledge of store items within an automotive environment.

Knowledge of receiving / issuing / ordering.

Skills required:

Basic Computer.

Communication and interpersonal.

Problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:

NQF Educational level 4.

SAP will be advantageous.

Minimum 2 years general purchasing and stores experience within an automotive environment.

Minimum 1-year previous storekeeping experience.

Forklift License.
