Purpose of the RoleThe Junior Finance & Admin Clerk provides administrative and financial support to the finance department, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely processing of transactions, and smooth day-to-day office administration. This role is ideal for an entry-level candidate looking to grow within finance and administration.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinance & Accounting SupportCapture and process supplier invoices, credit notes, and expense claimsAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable administrationAllocate payments and reconcile customer and supplier accountsAssist with bank reconciliationsPrepare supporting documents for monthly processing and auditsMaintain accurate financial records and filing systemsAssist with petty cash control and reconciliationsAdministrative DutiesGeneral office administration and filing (physical and electronic)Answer and direct telephone calls and emails professionallyAssist with data capturing and report preparationMaintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and databasesAssist with ordering office supplies and managing stock levelsSupport HR and management with basic admin tasks as requiredCompliance & SupportEnsure documents are compliant with company policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality of financial and employee informationAssist senior finance staff with ad-hoc tasks and projects

- Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Certificate or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping or Administration
- 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or admin role (internship or learnership acceptable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numerical ability
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to learn and grow within the finance field
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
- Well-presented and professional
