Apart from the various consumer brands, the VKB Group is also represented by its regional brands: VKB, GWK and NTK. About Crown Bag

Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a packing material manufacturer situated in Harrismith in the Eastern Free State. Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of VKB Landbou (Pty) Ltd and part of the VKB Group. The investment in this company is in line with the Group’s strategy to focus on integration opportunities in the agricultural value chain and results in a decrease in input costs for producers.

Job description

Responsible for printing at the printer/Gusset bag machine.

Requirements

• Grade 12/ NQF 4 will be advantageous.
• Previous work experience on a printer and gusset bag machine as a operator.
• Prepared to work alternate day and night shifts
• Prepared to work on Saturdays when required to do so
• Mechanically-minded
• Required to assist the maintenance team with breakdowns on machine

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting and running a printer and bag machine
• Responsible for the quality of the bags being produced
• Strict time keeping
• Record all production and waste
• Able to identify problems on the bags (training will be provided)
• Responsible for housekeeping in area of work
• Prepared to work in different departments when required to
• Oversee and manage other staff on the production line
