- Working 4 to 5 hours, Monday to Friday (may increase to full-time)
- General reception and administrative duties
- Managing the practice diary and therapists’ schedules
- Confirming appointments with patients
- Receiving incoming phone calls and new referrals
- Checking and verifying medical aid benefits
- Following up on unpaid accounts
- Invoicing and basic account administration
- Gathering and processing required patient documentation
Required Skills
- Computer Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Medical Receptionist: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of previous experience as a medical receptionist
- Computer Literate: Microsoft Word, basic Excel, emails, invoicing, etc
- Experience dealing with medical aids and billing
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Professional, friendly, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
