We are a growing construction company delivering high-value residential and commercial developments. We are seeking a senior, commercially astute and qualified Project Manager to oversee multiple projects and lead delivery teams from inception, planning through to completion.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for programme, cost, quality and coordination across multiple sites, managing Site Managers, consultants, and contractors whilst reporting directly to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities

Overall programme planning and delivery across projects
Budget, cost control, procurement, and cashflow management
Coordination of architects, engineers, QSs, and other consultants
Management of contracts, variations, and claims
Client and senior management reporting
Ensuring compliance with statutory, safety, and quality standards within country
Reporting progress to the Directors on a regular basis

Candidate Requirements

Critical Requirements

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Project Management
Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering residential and/or commercial projects
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong financial, contractual, and leadership capability
Proven ability to work independently with clear decision-making authority
Previous experience working outside South Africa or within Africa is an advantage

Working Environment

The role is based in Malawi on professionally managed projects with full company support.
The successful candidate will be provided with secure accommodation, reliable transport and all required permits. Malawi offers a stable working environment and excellent regional project exposure.
The role carries clear authority to make operational and site-level decisions within approved budgets and programmes.
The Project Manager will be supported by experienced Site Managers, consultants and locally based technical teams. Strong performers will be considered for future projects and long-term leadership roles within the company.
