Salary: 
R800k to R1.2 Mil TGP

  • Leave: 20 days
  • Retirement fund: 10% company contribution.


ROLE PURPOSE

Plan, organize, lead, implement and monitor electro-instrumentation activities to improve quality, throughput and process plant efficiencies.

This role supports the strategy by:

  • Providing transactional leadership in implementing electro-instrumentation projects according to the group engineering support goals, priorities and plans.

  • Applying best practice systems and procedures in planning and organising electro-instrumentation projects, problem solving and cost management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Academic Qualifications

BSc / BEng / BTech – Electrical or Electronic Engineering
(Light or Heavy Current) — Required

Work Experience

2+ Years Engineer-In-Training (EIT) — Required

3+ Years Junior E&I Engineer in a Continuous Production Process - Required

 3+ Years Supervising / Managing a Team of Technicians, Electricians & Apprentices -Required

  • Guide and advise mill management on electro-instrumentation solutions

  • Manage compliance to legal requirements of electrical and instrumentation equipment

  • Prepare technical documentation including specifications, test reports and maintenance procedures
