The Role

As the SMT Supervisor, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of the SMT department. You will lead a team of operators and technicians to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of component placement accuracy and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage daily SMT production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality electronic assemblies.

• Quality Control: Oversee AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) processes to maintain zero-defect standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.

• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance for SMT machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting.

• Process Improvement: Optimize feeder setups and line changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.

• Team Management: Mentor and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices (IPC standards).

Requirements

• Education: A Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

• Experience: Proven supervisory experience specifically within an SMT environment.

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with SMT machinery and AOI systems is essential.

• Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly processes.
