Sales Consultant - Telesales
Salary:
It is a basic plus commission and performance bonuses. The basic is R10,000.00. Commission’s structure is supplied on request.
Reports To:
The Sales Consultant reports to the Sales Manager.
About Company:
Palanga Publishing & Training Academy specializes in Maths education and runs My Maths Buddy program for teachers and learners in many schools across South Africa.
Our main line of business is to deliver My Maths Buddy programs in schools for teachers and learners. We are in the field of education.
Schedule:
Office hours are from 8:00 am till 16:30 pm.
Conditions of employment:
We will offer 3 months fixed contract. Every month the person will have a target to achieve, and we will do performance evaluation and an interview at the end of each month. If the candidate is way off their targets the contract will not be renewed after 3 months. Only when a person shows he or she can produce and achieve the targets set within the 3 months of employment, will this person be given a permanent position in the company. Training will be provided.

Candidate Requirements
- Excellent Communication & Active Listening: The ability to start and maintain meaningful conversations, understand customer needs by actively listening, and adjust your tone and pitch to build rapport.
- Persuasion and Negotiation: Using empathy, patience, and persuasive techniques to overcome objections and guide customers toward a purchase decision.
- Resilience and Patience: The ability to handle rejection calmly and maintain a positive attitude, as many calls may not result in a sale.
- Product Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of the products or services being offered to explain benefits clearly and answer questions accurately.
- Ability and willingness to learn: You need to be able and willing to learn about products/services, how to promote and sell these to clients, etc.
- Time Management & Organization: The role often involves a high volume of cold calls daily, requiring efficient time management and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records in a CRM system (Customer Relationship Management).
Experience & Qualifications:
1. You must be a matric graduate.
2. Prior experience in outbound B2B sales (preferably telesales) and achieving sales targets for minimally 3 years is required.
3. You must be located within 30-40 minutes radius from the office maximum. Our office is located in Lonehill, Johannesburg North. It is not a remote position you will need to work from the office.
