Our client, a dynamic South African financial services organisation, is seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Developer to join their growing IT team. This role is ideal for candidates with 2–4 years of professional experience who are comfortable working across the full technology stack and contributing to enterprise-grade systems in a regulated, high-performance environment.

Role Overview

•       Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack business applications using Python and C#

•       Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs

•       Implement backend logic using Python frameworks (Flask, Django, or similar) and .NET / ASP.NET

•       Design, query, and optimise relational databases (SQL Server; PostgreSQL advantageous)

•       Develop and maintain web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

•       Apply secure coding practices, validation, and role-based access control

•       Participate in code reviews, testing, and controlled deployments

•       Provide production support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

•       Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge repositories

•       Collaborate with business analysts, infrastructure, and security teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

•       Relevant Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

•       2–4 years’ professional experience in full-stack development

•       Strong working knowledge of Python and C#

•       Experience designing and consuming REST APIs

•       Solid SQL experience (SQL Server required; PostgreSQL advantageous)

•       Front-end development experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

•       Experience using Git or similar version control systems

•       Understanding of secure development principles

•       Ability to work in change-controlled and regulated environments

Advantageous Experience

•       Exposure to financial services or insurance systems

•       Docker or containerised applications

•       CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

•       Windows and Linux server environments

•       Agile or structured SDLC frameworks

•       Knowledge of auditability, logging, and data integrity
