An opportunity exists for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across diverse application environments. The role requires hands-on expertise in Azure services, automation, containerization, and monitoring, supporting multiple technology stacks. Short notice availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities

·        Manage Azure cloud infrastructure: ARM, App Service, Storage, AKS, VMs, Networking

·        Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

·        Automate deployments and infrastructure using ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash

·        Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes / AKS

·        Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and log analytics

·        Ensure secure coding, RBAC, authentication, and compliance across pipelines

·        Support diverse tech stacks (.NET, C#, MVC, Oracle, MuleSoft, Mainframe, COBOL, AWS Data stack)

Requirements

·        Proven experience as Azure DevOps Engineer with hands-on Azure and CI/CD expertise

·        Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI)

·        Experience with infrastructure as code (ARM, Terraform, Ansible)

·        Skilled with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / AKS)

·        Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security best practices

·        Ability to work on-site 3 days a week in Johannesburg and adapt to short notice requirements
