A leading professional services firm is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who has successfully completed their SAICA articles and holds a BCom degree along with Honours or CTA. Responsibilities:

• Leading the planning phase by identifying risk areas and developing audit programs tailored to client-specific requirements.
• Executing and overseeing complex audit procedures and fieldwork to ensure all financial statements are accurate and compliant.
• Managing and mentoring junior Trainee Accountants, providing guidance on audit methodology and reviewing their work for accuracy.
• Preparing comprehensive audit files and drafting annual financial statements in accordance with relevant frameworks.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients during the audit process to resolve queries and discuss findings.
• Ensuring all audit work adheres to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and internal firm quality standards.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of client internal control systems and recommending improvements to mitigate business risks.

Requirements:

• Successfully completed SAICA articles.
• BCom degree along with Honours or CTA.
• Solid background in audit and a commitment to professional excellence.
• Proven ability to effectively service and manage a diverse client base.
• Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Experience in preparing comprehensive audit files and drafting financial statements.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to mentor and supervise junior team members.
