Our client, one of the largest independent producers of flour in the country who is based in Riebeek West, is seeking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced Junior SAIPA Registered Professional Accountant.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on personality with experience in corporate finance and accounting, possesses strong people management skills, and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving and compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Creditors control and Accounts payable management (all relevant entities) *Payment processing *Reconciliations *Reporting and recordkeeping *Communication and Relationship Management *Policy Compliance and improvements *Internal invoicing and recordkeeping between internal entities *Full payroll function (± 100 employees) *Assist Financial Accountant with monthly functions *Stand-in duties *Annual review preparation for Auditors *Submission of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and EMP501 reconciliations *Payroll compliance with BCEA, UIF, and other Labour Legislation *All other tasks related to the position.
 
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
• Postgraduate: Completed SAIPA Articles;
• 3-5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or Creditors Control role;
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls;
• Proficiency in SAGE and Pastel Payroll (or similar software);
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent computer skills (Advanced Microsoft Excel);
• Valid driver’s license.
