Key activities:
 
 

Purchases goods, machinery, equipment, raw materials, and parts for internal consumption.
Handling of all purchasing functions and responsibilities
Adhere to project requirements, identify cost savings and expedite deliveries.
Work cross-functionally within a matrix organisational team structure and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels.
Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers, ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives.
Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building and maintaining good relationships with them.
Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided.
Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
Assessment on all the suppliers and feedback to management
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Have a good understanding of accruals and cut off dates
Various other ad hoc projects that may be required from time to time
