Key Responsibilities:

• Control and supervision of staff in the warehouse department
• Ensure proper receipt of all goods into the warehouse via electronic means (and manually where required)
• Assist with and control the ‘break bulk’ function and proper marking of items and storage within the warehouse.
• Ensure that proper stock records are kept and that goods are rotated on F.I.F.O basis
• Take stock and cycle counts as often as agreed with customer
• Report to management
• Ensure proper security is in place so that no unauthorized persons have access to the warehouse
• Responsible for the health and safety of employees within the facility
• Responsible for managing the operational costs against the budget and reporting back to management
• Drawing up of the operational cost budget
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive down costs
