Employer: Dante Group (Pty) Ltd

Our client is looking for a Senior Electronic Technician (Design and Development) to join their engineering team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement, kitting, and programming of PCB units, as well as providing design and development support to the engineering team. Duties include schematic design, PCB layout, and PCB integration, including managing component shortages, hardware bring-up, and testing of functional blocks.The role further involves conducting schematic design reviews and performing product assembly testing to ensure form, fit, and functional compliance.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification in electronics (At least N4 Diploma)
A minimum of 5 years of electronics experience
Good hand skills such as soldering as well as the ability to use hand tools
The ability to follow test procedures and use electronic testing equipment correctly
Computer literacy is essential (embedded linux advantageous)
CAD design for electronics circuits for schematics & PCB layout
Software PCB programming competency.
